HCI ASMIS

ASMIS is a central storage solution for surgical images and videos, which is installed as a proxy between the surgical imaging modalities in the OR and the hospital's long‐term archive (e.g. PACS). ASMIS separates unwanted or uninteresting long videos received from the OR and forwards only images and desired video sequences that are necessary for documentation to the existing archive /electronic health record. It offers advanced web‐based video edit and structured documentationfeatures which are not possible within PACS‐only environments.

ASMIS was developed in close cooperation with surgeons, biomedical staff and hospital IT managers
to ensure practical relevance and seamless integration into heterogeneous medical device and
Health‐IT environments.
